About Us
The Founder
My name is Jessica Nixon, I gained my Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education back in 2016 and since have worked in serval nurseries over the West Sussex area, I gained my Master's Degree in Event's Management in 2022, and have since been organising events for families, I run this playgroup alongside my little family with the support of volunteers .
How Little Sunshine's Playgroup Began
Little Sunshine's Playgroup started play sessions at Durrington Community Centre in February 2022, after having our second child, and after the lockdown (COVID-19) I relieved there was not much for families to do in West Sussex, I came up with the idea of starting our own Group.
What We Do
We provide a safe, educational, and playful environment, for families to explore, and connect with other families.
- Each week we have a healthy snack time, where everyone contributes with one piece of fruit.
- We have a Story time (Optional)
- We have a Group Time (Optional)
- We occasionally host fundraising events for worthy causes.
- We attend/contribute towards local community events.
- We set up and run children’s parties
- We have different Hiring Services for our toys, equipment and costumes
- We celebrate all types of holidays and annual holidays
- We run all Year round, including school holiday times (older siblings are welcome)
- We have membership passes that include all play sessions, and hiring services.
